In recent years, it has been possible to appreciate the fact that Chinese manufacturers have much more to offer than people think. The enormous progress that the Chinese OEMs present is evident, and it can be confirmed by seeing the performance they have presented lately. According to Gartner, the global sales of smartphones for the third quarter of this year increased by 1.4%, but if we exclude the sales that have obtained Xiaomi and Huawei (two Chinese heavyweights), the sales belonging to the remaining brands in reality fell by 5.2%.

After that information was brought to light, the market research organization IDC released statistics on shipments of smart wearable devices in the third quarter of 2018, and it can be seen that, in that quarter alone, the Xiaomi’s growth rate reached an impressive 90.9%, surpassing Apple and becoming the world’s leader in Wearables.

Xiaomi becomes the leader of the Wearables market

To be a bit more specific, the shipments presented by Xiaomi increased to 6.9 million units, mainly due to two factors: the launching of the smart band Mi Band 3 and its expansion to markets outside China. On the other hand, Apple decided to launch the Apple Watch Series 4 at a price higher than expected, and refused to place the prices of previous models below $200, which greatly affected its overall market share.

That being said, we must clarify that the Apple Watch 3 was the most sold in the third quarter of this year, thus reaching the sale of 4.2 million units. If we look only at the general participation in the market, Xiaomi now has 21.5%, while Apple only has 13.1%, although the two are taking different paths; the first is based on volume, while the second is based mainly on profits.

Near Xiaomi and Apple, and struggling to be in the first place in this market, are Fitbit, Huawei and Samsung. In this third quarter, shipments of smart devices from these companies were 3.5 million units, 1.9 million units and 1.8 million units, respectively, achieving corresponding market shares of 10.9%, 5.9% and 5.6%.

Pisofttech is ready to launch the crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo dedicated to the 360 ??° Pilot Era VR camera, a professional and super versatile solution capable of recording videos in 8K. Are you ready to dive into the creation of world-class VR content?

The traditional 360 ° VR video camera usually presents itself with dimensions that are not exactly contained, a point against which can make their use difficult. Pilot Era aims to revolutionize the sector thanks to a compact body and small dimensions.

The device has a 3.1-inch touch display with HD resolution and mounts Android as an operating system (in the form of Pilot OS). In this way, it will be possible to put one’s own videos directly during the filming, in order to anticipate subsequent operations such as the assembly and adjustment of some settings.

Thanks to the USB Type-C port it will be possible to connect the most disparate peripherals while the company ensures that updates and functionality will be released via OTA.

Pilot Era is equipped with four Sony 12MP sensors with wide-angle lenses and allows the modification of the most important parameters (such as ISO, EV, EW). There is also support for HDR, a high-precision GPS module with support for features for Street View photographers and uploading to Google Maps servers.

Connectivity is continued with a 4G modem (with the promise of a subsequent upgrade to enable 5G) and Wi-Fi Dual Band. The weight of only 690 grams makes it ideal for many types of shooting and thanks to the 512GB UFS memory it will be possible to record up to 6 hours of video in 8K. It ends with a 7200mAh battery, to never run dry.

Samsung Galaxy S10+ and S10 Urgent Software update is coming!

Published

The Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+ has been engineered to be a conversation-changer, a phone that’s intended to turn everyone’s yearly question of “Do I really need to upgrade?” into a more exclamatory “Do I really need to upgrade!”

It’s the Infinity Display that really sells this phone. It introduces a nearly-edge-to-edge look that stretches top to bottom, with pixels spilling over the curved edges at the sides – there’s no room for big bezels on Samsung’s 2019 flagship smartphone. For the most part, they don’t exist here. Anyways, a recent report suggests that samsung galaxy s10+ and s10 urgent software update is coming to the phone! Oh, Hey, want to win one for yourself? Log on here and get yourself a Brand New Galaxy s10 for free!

The newest update sent by the Korean manufacturer into its Galaxy S10 and S10+ intends to further enhance the already amazing security of the top of their scope smartphones. The update, weighing only 6.9MB and without a new build number, improves the safety of this much-disputed ultrasonic fingerprint reader situated beneath the S10 and S10+ screen. That is also why the update wasn’t released for the Galaxy S10e variant which uses a classic capacitive fingerprint reader on the ideal side.

Personally after the update in question we have not seen any improvement in the speed of the reader , probably the patch only served to improve the accuracy and security of the biometric scan. Additionally because, let us be clear, apart from safety Samsung has nothing more to brag about these ultrasonic sensors, that are currently slower than the competition.

How do I look for a new update?

To look after a brand new software update in your own Samsung Galaxy S10 or S10+:

  • Click on Software Updates.
  • Select the thing Download updates manually and wait a few seconds. When there’s a new bundle, proceed with the download and install it.
S10 Urgent Software update

This latest update published by Samsung has, though, a particularity: it wasn’t released through OTA as from the most classic of situations but through Galaxy Store. A popup should notify you of the update, otherwise You’ll Have to:

  1. Open the Galaxy Store program
  2. Just click the Menu button (the three dots in the top right)
  3. From there, navigate into the Profile thing then Update
  4. You’re good to go!
