Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro makes maiden debut in India, price starting at Rs.13,999 (~$196)

Xiaomi has officially launched the premium midrange Redmi Note 6 Pro in India. The device comes as a slight upgrade over the Redmi Note 5 Pro that was announced in February this year, exclusive to India. The Redmi Note 5 Pro was later launched in China and for the global market as the Redmi  Note 5 and with some slight variation from India’s version. The Redmi Note 6 Pro Indian version doesn’t suffer the same fate but is entirely similar to the model that was earlier launched in other regions.Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro

Design wise, the Redmi Note 6 Pro borrows some of its specs from the Note 5 Pro. The rear panel design is also similar to that of the Redmi Note 5 Pro.  It packs two cameras aligned vertically at the top left corner at the back. Interestingly, the Redmi Note 6 Pro also packs two camera sensors at the front. The cameras are housed on a wide notch located at the top of the display. The notch creates a wide screen to body ratio and also houses an earpiece, a notification LED and some other sensors.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro features a 6.26-inch IPS LCD display in a 19:9 aspect ratio. The device measures 157.9 x 76.4 x 8.3mm, weighing 182 grams.  an earpiece, a notification LED and some other sensors. The Redmi Note 6 Pro offers a tall aspect ratio of 19:9. The display is shielded by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass.

Internally, the Redmi Note 6 Pro packs a Snapdragon 636 chipset and it comes with 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM, both having 64 of native storage. The storage is expandable via microSD card which also doubles as the second SIM slot. The phone gets its interface from the Android 8.1 Oreo OS based MIUI 10 custom skin. On the camera end, the front camera is a 20MP+2MP combo with the main sensor having a f/2.0 aperture. The rear sensors include a 12MP main sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The camera comes with features such as dual-pixel autofocus, AI scene recognition, studio light photography, AI Portrait mode 2.0 and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). In addition, the device also packs a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. There is also face unlock through front camera, dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB OTG, microUSB 2.0, GPS and a 3.5mm headphone jack. During the launch event, the company revealed for special for Indian users in coastal areas, the Redmi Note 6 Pro will be available with rust protection for charging port and audio jack.

Xiaomi will sell the Redmi Note 6 Pro exclusively on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home Stores.  The device will go on sale at 12 PM today as part of the Black Friday deals. The device is available in colors like Black, Rose Gold, Blue and Red. The box package of the phone will include 10W charger and ultra-slim case.  As for the pricing, the 4GB RAM + 64 GB version comes with an Rs. 13,999 (~$196) price tag. On the other hand, the 6GB RAM + 64 GB storage version costs Rs. 15,999 (~$229). For Black Friday, the  4 GB and 6 GB variants will be available at reduced prices of Rs. 12,999 (~$182) and Rs. 14,999 (~$210). By using the HDFC credit card tomorrow, users can also take advantage of an instant cash back of Rs. 500. Jio SIM users who purchase the Redmi Note 6 Pro can take advantage of Rs. 2,400 instant cash back and 6 TB of 4G data.

Xiaomi Mi Band 4 NFC Version set to hit the market tomorrow

Xiaomi held the Mi Band 4 new product launch conference in Beijing about a week ago where the company also released the NFC version of its latest Mi Band. The official release of the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 saw a bracelet that uses a color display, providing a colorful wristband and a variety of personalized themes. Now, the company has announced that the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 NFC version will be sold at 10 am tomorrow, and the standard version will be sold again at 10 am tomorrow.

The Xiaomi Mi 4 uses 0.95-inch AMOLED high-brightness color screen with a resolution of 240 x 120 and it supports 77 full-color dial theme. The screen can display 45 Chinese characters and display cover is upgraded to 2.5D scratch-resistant glass panel. The Xiaomi Mi Band 4 also comes with a built-in 6-axis high-precision sensor, supports 5 ATM waterproof which means that you can go swimming with this band which supports outdoor running, indoor running, walking, exercising, riding six sports modes, etc.

The Xiaomi Mi Band 4 continues the heart rate warning function on the Mi band 3. When the heart rate is too high, the bracelet will automatically vibrate to remind the user to pay attention. The band also supports sedentary reminders. In addition, Xiaomi Mi Band 4 NFC version also has XiaoAi voice support which ensures that sports features, alarm clock, heart rate, and other bracelet functions can be evoked in one sentence. As the smart home control center on the wrist, the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 NFC version can be used to control home appliances such as console lights, sweeping robots, and smart door locks. Xiaomi conducts an official wrap off for some of its major products, especially Mi 9T, Mi Smart Band 4, and a pair of other products. The take out activity was done in Europe a few days back. Now company is going to launch the new Xiaomi Mi 9T on June 20.

Correspondingly, the Mi 9T remain in the news regularly and is the same as the Redmi K20. Now is it true or false, is not known to anyone. What can be the right ways to elaborate if the two devices are the same than the official unboxing video by the company.

Features of Xiaomi Mi 9T:

The features and the device accessories are quite clear from the official unboxing video. The video is available on the official YouTube platform of the company. It clearly shows what is inside the box. By design, there is no doubt about the similarity of the Redmi K20 and Mi 9T.

While unboxing the model, you will get a free protective case as we usually get with all Xiaomi mid-range and flagship models. Further, it is not a usual rubber case, but it is of tough and harder plastic material. Along with, the box will provide you with an 18W charger, a user manual, a USB Type-C cable, and SIM tray ejector as well.

Exposing the features of the phone as in the video, the smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor along with a 20 MP pop-up selfie camera.
