Yesterday on 30th of July, the SoC manufacturer MediaTek released its latest chipset named as Helio G90 and Helio G90T. Both editions are specially designed for gaming smartphones with some extraordinary tech specifications internally.
The brand director of Redmi Lu Weibing is one of the people who attended the MediaTek launch event. Later, he published a post on the official Weibo account mentioning the Xiaomi will bring a gaming smartphone integrated with the Helio G90 processor. He further wrote about the global availability of the phone.
The company executive didn’t mention further about the device specifications. We can guess the features by examining the chipset the company is about to use.

As per the chipset configurations, the device will have a performance CPU cluster of dual-editions. These are two Cortex-A76 and six Cortex A55 cores to finish the bundle. Further, the device will hold the MALI G76 Graphics card and the system is based on the 12nm FiNFET process technology.
Users will get an overall speed of up to 2.05 GHz and the G90T edition can support up to 10 GB of RAM.
Xiaomi also planned to launch its gaming smartphone in India as well. Considering India to be one of the biggest gaming smartphone industries in the world, the company is willing to invest in the Indian market enthusiastically.
We know the MediaTek G90 is a game-based processor. So we can expect the upcoming Redmi phone to be a gaming smartphone like Black Shark, Nubia and iQOO. Ultimately, the processor chipset seems an affordable solution in terms of speed and process manufacture. Therefore, it is unlikely the new Redmi gaming phone will manage to oppose the beasts like its counterparts i.e. Nubia Red Magic 3 and ROG Phone 2.
